Seoul Friendship Festival 2019 – Beers, Waffles and Chocolates

We’ve had lots of fun at the Seoul Friendship Festival and wanted to ink a few words to thanks our Embassy for the opportunity, our supporting partners, our many volunteers and helping hands who made this possible and a success. THANK YOU !

We received great feedback about our special beer selection around which there was much interrest to learn about the various types from the stronger quadruple to the ligther fruity kinds. We had prepared a beer guide which turned out to be an excellent tool for the many visitors less familiar with the intricacy of belgian beers.

We’ve also had quite a feast around our authentic Liège and homestyle waffles. Both were going faster than, we could make them ! To give you an idea we had prepared 35+ kg and it was all gone by 4 pm on Sunday. This means is one every 2 min… what a cadence ! Kudos to our volunteers.

Let’s also not forget the legendary Chokotoffs. Those were a huge success with both children and grown-ups. If we do this again, we’re pretty sure we’ll see them coming back next year.

We can also admit that we didn’t plan much about the decoration however proudly dressing up the booth with our national colors and crowd sourcing decoration turned out to be quite fun. We also proudly figured our Manneken Pis and the rumour is that it is thanks to him that we had such a line up for our goodies.

No advertising was allowed on the booth so we went along the guideline but we wanted to point out the fantastic support from the following distributors : (add list here) . Rest assured, you have now a hundreds more fans of those fantastic beers, many visitors wanted to take more to consume at home.
