It’s a New World — Economic Outlook

On April 12th, our friends and colleagues from the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Japan (BLCCJ) will host a webinar on the global economy.

During this event, Mr. Koen De Leus, Chief Economist at BNP Paribas Fortis (Belgium), will share his insights on the global economy two years after the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Easter Day with the Hamel Club Korea!

Spring is here! To celebrate, the Hamel Club Korea will organize an event in the spirit of Easter. Various games and activities, including an egg hunt, will take place and allow both adults and children to begin spring with joy while meeting new people. Lunch is provided!

Pfizer’s Pandemic Breakthrough with Mr. Karel Van De Sompel

On April 27th, the BeLux Chambers in Asia Collective will organize its next high-caliber speaker event with Mr. Karel Van De Sompel, Country Manager and Managing Director of Pfizer Belgium and Luxembourg (Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group).

During this event, Mr. Van De Sompel will talk about his experience in dealing with vaccine demand like never before and answer YOUR questions.

After Work Drink with the Trade Mission “START2EXPORT2KOREA” Delegation

Mark the date! On May 10th, the FIT, together with Voka West-Vlaanderen and the BKBF will organize an after work drink to welcome the companies taking part in the trade mission “START2EXPORT2KOREA” organized by the FIT – Flanders Investment and Trade.

Come and share with the visiting companies your insights into the Korean market and its business practices. More information coming soon!

Introducing Shaimaa Samouh, a Belgian Student Seeking an Internship in South Korea

Shaimaa Samouh, a 3rd-year student of international organizations and management at Artevelde University Ghent, is currently looking for an internship in South Korea this summer for her graduation requirements.

Shaimaa is multilingual with a major interest in intercultural communication, HR, and marketing. Enthusiastic, open-minded, and hardworking, she is looking for a company that could welcome her until 10 June 2022.

Improving Communication with BKBF Members!

BKBF and its partners have recently been working on several projects to represent the Belgian community here in South Korea. In addition to our many events, we also updated our website to reflect BKBF’s mission, contacted several organizations to partner on common projects, and more!

In order to improve our communication with BKBF’s members, we implemented a different approach to our member registration. Please take a minute to fill out our form by clicking here!

Most of our events will remain open to anyone who is interested in joining. This new registration procedure will allow us to improve our communication, services, promote our future events, and have an overview of BKBF’s growing membership. This information will also help us approach guest speakers, organize business events, and more!

Covid19 Regulations

The Latest COVID-19 Updates in South Korea

South Korean authorities are increasingly easing COVID-19 regulations. The regulations are briefly summarized as follows:

  • Private gatherings of up to 10 people are allowed, regardless of vaccination status.
  • The curfew on restaurants and cafés is now 12 AM.
  • No quarantine is required for fully vaccinated (and boosted) individuals traveling to South Korea. For more information, please click here.
