BKBF has received a special letter which we would like to share with you:

Lieve ouders, Chers parents, Dear parents,

Soon I will return to Seoul with my big steam boat. I will be delighted to make time in my busy schedule to come and say hello to the Belgian children on Saturday 7 December between 15h and 18h. The Belgian Embassy and the BKBF will hold this year’s Sinterklaas / St. Nicolas party at Deputy Head of Mission Tine Jacobs’s residence in Itaewon.

May I ask you to confirm at the latest end November, by contacting the Belgian embassy, whether your child(ren) would like to come and meet me and how many brothers/sisters/(grand)parents will be joining? You are also requested to provide a note with some information about the little ones and what they have been doing over the last year, so I can properly prepare for this important task.

If you would like me to give your child(ren) a present, please bring it to the Embassy during opening hours (Itaewon-ro 45-gil 23, Yongsan-gu, Seoul) clearly indicating the child’s full name, by 4 December. Apart from a present for your own child(ren), please also bring a present that I can donate to little friends who might not be so lucky as to have loving friends and family around. I do not like presents with a value over 50.000 KRW, since then friends might become jealous.
