News from the Belgian Community

A Big Thank You to Eva Morre, Our Second Secretary at the Embassy of Belgium in Seoul

Our community’s diplomat and friend, Eva Morre, will leave South Korea in May for her next assignment in Hong Kong.

While we are sad to see Eva go, there is no doubt that she will continue to do great things for Belgium during her career. Since 2018, Eva has been a tremendous support for BKBF, and we have had the pleasure of working with her to promote the image of Belgium in South Korea over the years.

Safe travels, Eva, and please come back to visit us soon!

Passing of Claire Van De Ginste

Claire Van De Ginste, a pillar of the Belgian community in South Korea, recently passed away on 1 May 2022, while on a holiday in France. Claire was formerly a consul at the Embassy of Belgium in Seoul and helped many during her time in South Korea.

We are Recruiting Two New Board Members for the BKBF Committee!

We are sad to see two of our outstanding BKBF Board Members, Christophe Vermeylen and Kira van Otten, leave South Korea soon.

While these are difficult shoes to fill, we welcome anyone interested in joining our committee to contact us at committee@bkbfseoul.com for more information.

Thank you, Christophe and Kira, for your dedication to our growing organization!
